Workshop on
Information Processing for Medical Images
8 – 9 September 2003
Part of IMS program on Mathematics
and Computation in Imaging Science and Information Processing
(July - December 2003 and August 2004)
- Say Song Goh
(National University of Singapore)
- Seng Luan
Lee (National University of Singapore)
- Chye Hwang Yan (DSO National Laboratories, Singapore)
The application of mathematical concepts to the area of
medical imaging has made significant advances in the usage of
these imaging modalities to computer-assisted surgery,
diagnosis, treatment, and training in medicine. This workshop
aims at providing an opportunity for researchers from
different disciplines including mathematics, computer science,
electrical engineering, physics and clinical medicine to meet
and discuss the advances and latest developments in this
exciting area.
The workshop comprises a series of tutorial lectures on CT/MRI
imaging and talks on specific research topics. These topics
include the clinical applications of high end CT/MRI, and the
applications of signal processing, image processing and
mathematical modeling on CT, MRI and ECG.
