ACCOMODATION

Important:
-	Room rates quoted on this page are special rates that are offered only to registered participants for the Congress period.
-	Participants are strongly advised to make hotel reservations early as the Congress dates coincide with the peak travel season in Singapore and a few large conventions. Most hotels in Singapore including budget accommodation would be fully booked in advance during this period.
Making Reservations:
-	Congress participants are to make reservations directly with their preferred hotels using the relevant booking forms.
-	For PGPR, full payment must be made in advance (as indicated on the booking form) in order to guarantee the reservation. The reservation must be made through the Local Organizing Committee as the hostel does not deal directly with external parties.
-	For the Visitor’s Lodge, credit card details must be provided in order to guarantee booking. Reservation must be made through the Local Organizing Committee as the Lodge does not deal directly with external parties. Penalty charges will be levied on late check-in and cancellation after the release date.

Transportation:
-	Complimentary transfer from the Congress hotels to NUS and back (one trip each in the morning and evening) will be provided during the Congress period.
-	There will be at least one chartered bus for each hotel zone. More buses may be chartered depending on the number of participants staying in each zone. A bus schedule will be posted on the Congress website in June 2008.
-	Complimentary transfer to Congress-organized social events outside campus will be provided for participants (return trip to hotels/hostel after the events included).
-	Participants staying on campus will commute within the campus via the free shuttle service.
-	Participants who stay in hotels/lodges that are not listed on this page will have to make their own travel arrangements (for trips from hotel/lodges to campus, campus to hotel/lodges, post-social events to hotel/lodges).

	Notes:
	-	Participants intending to book with Student rate are required to submit a copy of their official status letter/ID together with the booking form. They will be required to present the same documents during check-in for verification.
	-	Type A room is air-conditioned and has an attached shower/toilet. Blanket is provided at no charge.
	-	Type B room is not air-conditioned but has a ceiling fan. It has only a wash basin in the room and occupants have to use the common shower/toilet facilities located on the same floor. Blanket is provided upon request and at a charge (rental basis, i.e. not to be removed from the premises).
	-	Clean bed sheet, pillow and pillow case are provided at no charge during check-in, but there is no housekeeping or daily linen changing service.
	-	Purchase of amenities pack is optional but should be included and paid in advance if needed. There are no free toiletries and no provision of bath towels. There is a convenience store located within hostel grounds.
	-	Each amenities pack includes a bath towel, face towel, toothbrush kit, disposable shaver, soap, conditioning shampoo, shower gel, shower cap.
	-	Strictly single occupancy in each room.
	-	Male and female occupants are allocated rooms on different floors/blocks, depending on availability.
	-	Check-in and check-out time: 12 noon, Monday to Saturday. The reception operates on normal office hours (including half day on Saturday morning). Guests may still check-in/check-out during office hours, where applicable. Guests who arrive/depart outside office hours would have to check-in/check-out at the hostel’s Fire Command Centre.
